I liked the outfits that I made up for the guards at the checkpoint but we don’t really get to see much of them. The establishment of cannons tells us we aren’t in a normal fantasy environment. I’ve never been fond of the concept of “high” fantasy, I see no reason to place bounds on what can and can’t be done based on that sort of conception. High is simply a nice way of saying you are ripping off Tolkien.
