Early shades are pictured in the book there at the bottom. They have armor that fit’s the period here, but it is within this comic that they have their beginnings. I like the ruins there in the book, in fact I was and am still rather happy with how that book came out. The illuminations as I do believe they are called came out very well as did the “illustration”. That text is basically a hand done replacement of the English alphabet, I’m sure it says something stupid, but I’ll be darned if I can remember exactly what.
